We believe new parents deserve better

Better information. Better support. Better privacy. LittleSteps exists to give parents the guidance they need—without the overwhelm, the anxiety, or the invasion of privacy.

Why we built LittleSteps

Becoming a parent is one of life's most profound transitions. It's also one of the most overwhelming. Suddenly, you're responsible for keeping a tiny human alive—and everyone has opinions about how you should do it.

The internet is full of parenting advice. Apps, forums, articles, influencers. But more information doesn't mean better information. New parents don't need more—they need the right information, at the right time, from sources they can trust.

And they need it delivered in a way that respects the reality of their lives: exhausted, time-poor, often with only one free hand.

That's why we built LittleSteps.

What we believe

Simple principles that guide everything we do.

Timing matters more than volume

We don't dump a library on you. We give you what you need to know today, based on where you are in your journey. Tomorrow, you'll get tomorrow's content.

Parents need their hands free

Reading a screen while feeding a baby is hard. That's why every article has an audio version. Learn while you live.

Partners and support people matter

Parenthood isn't a solo endeavour. The people supporting a new parent need information too—different information, tailored to their role.

Privacy is non-negotiable

Pregnancy is deeply personal. We built LittleSteps so that your sensitive data—your due date, your baby's birthday—is encrypted on your device. We cannot access it. This isn't a feature; it's a fundamental design decision.

Evidence beats opinion

Every piece of content in LittleSteps is grounded in guidance from leading health authorities: NHS, WHO, AAP, CDC, and peer-reviewed research. No trends. No old wives' tales. No sponsored content.

Accessible language, not dumbed-down content

Medical accuracy and clear writing aren't opposites. We work hard to make complex information easy to understand without losing nuance.

Not another parenting app

Most parenting apps make money from your data or from advertisers who want access to you. They track everything, share your information, and bury their practices in 40-page privacy policies.

Subscription-funded

We make money from subscriptions, not from selling your data.

Privacy-first architecture

Your sensitive dates are encrypted on your device. We cannot see them.

No advertising

No ads in the app. No sponsored content. No "recommended products" that are actually paid placements.

Evidence-based only

We cite our sources. We update when guidelines change. We never publish unverified trends.

A note on what we're not

We're not doctors.

LittleSteps provides educational information based on trusted medical guidance, but it's not a substitute for personalised medical advice. Always consult your healthcare provider for decisions about your health or your baby's health.

We're not a medical device.

LittleSteps is a wellness and education app. We don't diagnose, treat, or monitor medical conditions.

We're not here to tell you how to parent.

We provide information. You make the decisions. There's no "right way" to parent—just informed choices that work for your family.

Our team

LittleSteps was founded by parents who experienced firsthand the overwhelm of becoming a new parent and the frustration of trying to find trustworthy information.

Today, our team includes parents, technologists, writers, and medical advisors—all united by the belief that new parents deserve better tools and better support.
